Growing Your Company in the Gig Economy

In today’s competitive marketplace, businesses are facing more and more pressure to be productive, yet lean.

And they’re adapting — by closely looking at processes through a flexible, creative lens.

How? One way is by seeking out more contract or 'gig' workers who can help small to medium-sized businesses operate like a large enterprise — without the overhead.

This isn’t to suggest that the gig economy is new; it isn’t. But it has morphed from traditional jobs — such as freelance writing and web design — to include technology-enabled jobs in such fields as finance, transportation, healthcare, sales and more.

Fewer jobs, more gigs

And it’s growing! In fact, CNBC reports that the gig economy is now composed of 60 million workers — and is growing three times faster than the overall U.S. workforce. Studies show, in fact, that by 2027, the majority of workers will take on gig work to supplement their full-time income.

There’s no doubt about it: Today’s workforce is experiencing a paradigm shift. The gig economy is effective, it benefits both the company and the worker … and it’s here to stay.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
