There isn’t a single business owner that is going to admit they need help managing the finances of their company to someone who can’t help them. But, they will tell their neighbor, their Uber driver, the person standing next to them in the Starbucks, or a trusted professional. Several months ago, I was introduced to SalesGig. The concept of using those casual contacts to generate business was very interesting, but I was uncertain about how easily it would work.
Well, it does work well. Just a few weeks after talking to SalesGig, I received my first outreach. A business owner who was having problems with his accounting staff mentioned it to someone that happened to be a SalesGig referral source. After a short conversation with the business owner, it was apparent that he really needed help with reporting - so that he could understand how his business was doing - and it was apparent that he was willing to follow our recommendations that would improve his cash flow.
The important thing for me, as a business owner myself, is to find a business owner who understands the problems they are facing, and is willing to talk to us about it. Sometimes the conversations result in our helping them, like this one did. Others don’t. But with SalesGig, I have the opportunity to make those contacts to grow my business.
